Worship
Summer Sunday Worship: We’re holding one Sunday service at 9:30am (in person and livestreamed) through August 31.
This Sunday’s Worship (June 29): We worship together on the Third Sunday after Pentecost with readings from 1 Kings 19, Galatians 5, and Luke 9. Communion is not served today.
Gather and Celebrate
Good Shepherd Men’s Group: Meets Sundays at 6:30pm. All men are welcome to attend.
Bunco Night: Friday, July 18 at 6:00pm in the Choir Room. Bring a $5 wrapped gift (theme: “Summer”) for a fun-filled evening of games and laughter. Ages 18+. Contact Judy Christopherson at (608) 769-9656 for more info.
Rummage Sale: Good Shepherd WELCA’s annual rummage sale is Saturday, July 19 from 9am–2pm in the Mattes Center.
Rent a table for just $10 and keep your earnings
Set-up times: Friday, 12–5pm and Saturday, 8–9am
Lunch: Hot beef sandwich, chips, dessert, and drink for $7
Sign-up forms are available in the church office.
Small Groups and Support
Quilting for Lutheran World Relief (LWR): Meets the 2nd & 4th Mondays, 9am–3pm in the quilting room. Come for all or part of the day. Next meeting: July 14.
Cancer Support Group: For patients and caregivers. Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5pm in the Mattes Center. Next meeting: July 15. Questions? Call Janette at (608) 775-1197.
Lydia Circle: On summer break. Next meeting: September 2. Contact LeeAnn Lyden at (608) 788-7651 for more info.
Good Shepherd Women (WELCA): Next meeting is on Thursday, July 3 at 6pm in person or via Zoom. All women of the church are invited.
Get Involved and Support
General Fund: Support the ministry of Good Shepherd through online or in-person donations. Give online now.
Food For Schools Project: Help stock local school food banks. Donate via check (memo line: “Food For Schools Project”) or scan the QR code in the bulletin.
Lutheran World Relief Kits: We’re collecting supplies for School and Personal Care Kits. Donation lists are available on the Stewardship table. Items or monetary donations appreciated—see Linda Schoen for questions.
Good Shepherd Trust Foundation: Funding available for mission-aligned projects. Apply by June 30. Forms at gslacrosse.org/trust-committee or in the church office.
Support Our Youth Group: Buy Scrip cards in the welcome area or in the church office (open Mon–Fri, 8am–1pm). Kwik Trip cards also available.
