Trust Committee
Stewarding with Care
The Trust Committee at Good Shepherd is a dedicated group responsible for overseeing the church’s trust funds and financial gifts, ensuring these resources are managed wisely to support the church’s mission and ministry now and into the future.
What We Do: The committee carefully monitors, invests, and administers designated trust funds according to donor intentions and church policies. Their stewardship helps provide ongoing support for ministry programs, building maintenance, scholarships, and special projects.
Faith & Responsibility: Members bring a spirit of faithful stewardship, transparency, and prudent financial oversight to protect and grow these vital resources for Good Shepherd’s long-term health.
Community Impact: By managing these funds responsibly, the Trust Committee enables ministries and outreach efforts to flourish and sustain the church’s mission.
Mission Funding Available Through Trust Foundation
The Good Shepherd Trust Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of mission funding for Good Shepherd active members. Interested members may apply for funds quarterly, and the application will be reviewed and approved by the Trust Foundation Committee. The application form can be accessed via the link below or obtained from the church office.
To ensure that distributions from the Trust Foundation align with the Church’s mission statement, the Trust Foundation Committee will follow the Church’s Core Values of Radical Hospitality, Passionate Worship, Intentional Faith Formation, Risk-taking Mission/Service, and Extravagant Generosity. Priority will be given to outreach and mission work, including organizations supported by the ELCA, Synod, or those currently supported by the Good Shepherd general benevolence fund.
For the application to be considered, it must be submitted in writing by a member in good standing. Additionally, verification of the distribution’s use for the intended purpose will be required. The Good Shepherd Trust Foundation is committed to supporting the Church’s mission by providing funding for outreach and mission work to gather all creation to God’s love and grace.
Download the Application form here. Application is due to the church office by June 30, 2025.
