Funerals

In Times of Loss

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

—Revelation 21:4

At Good Shepherd, we grieve with those who mourn. The loss of a loved one brings deep sorrow, and we are here to walk with you through it. We offer funeral and memorial services that both acknowledge the profound pain of death and proclaim the living hope we have through the resurrection of Jesus Christ—the foundation of our faith.

Planning a Funeral or Memorial Service

Our pastors are available to help you plan a service that honors your loved one’s life and reflects the promises of our faith. Services may include Scripture readings, hymns, personal remembrances, and messages of comfort and hope.

Some members also choose to meet with the pastor ahead of time to share their wishes for their own funeral service. Selecting hymns, readings, and even writing a personal statement of faith can be a meaningful gift to those left behind. You are welcome to contact the pastor anytime to begin this conversation.

The Columbarium at Good Shepherd

Our marble columbaria, set within the peaceful surroundings of the Good Shepherd prayer gardens, provide a sacred and beautiful final resting place for cremated remains. Niches are available to both members and non-members. To learn more about the Columbarium, visit this informative page.

Meeting with a Pastor

To help us serve you best, we ask that families complete a short funeral inquiry form before meeting with a pastor. Our staff can provide all the necessary information to you via email. For all funeral or memorial inquiries, please reach out to the church office. We are here for you with compassion, faith, and support.
