Faith Webs

Building Community & Supporting Our Youth in Faith

Faith Webs is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a community builder dedicated to nurturing the faith journeys of our children and youth. Research shows that young people who grow into active adult faith lives are supported by six or more adults of faith along the way. At First Lutheran Church, when we baptize our children, we make promises to walk alongside them in their faith. Faith Webs helps us keep those promises and show our kids how deeply they are loved and supported.

How Faith Webs Works

Every child who wants to attend an overnight faith-based summer camp, join a middle or high school mission trip, or participate in family camp with their loved ones is invited to sign up for Faith Webs. Once enrolled, we connect each youth with a “web” of adult supporters from our congregation.

These Faith Webs spend the year growing meaningful relationships—meeting in ways that feel natural and enjoyable for everyone involved. Whether it’s sharing meals, cheering at sports or music events, job shadowing, camping, or even exchanging letters as pen-pals, the possibilities are endless. When people choose to connect and support each other, God shows up in powerful ways.

Funding & Support

To help cover costs, the primary family contributes the first $300, and each supporting household in the web contributes $300 as well. Contributions can be made as a one-time payment or spread throughout the year, with all funds collected by mid-May so trips and camps can be confirmed. Many supporters partner with friends to share the cost.

Our goal is connection first—so please don’t let finances be a barrier. If you’re interested in participating or supporting a child’s faith journey, we’re here to help make it happen.

We look forward to growing Faith Webs—and faith-filled relationships—with you soon!
