Worship
This Sunday (September 28) — We worship on the Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost with readings from Amos 6:1a, 4–7; Psalm 146; 1 Timothy 6:6–19; and Luke 16:19–31. Communion will not be served at either service.
Next Sunday (October 5) — We worship on the Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost with readings from Habakkuk 1:1–4; 2:1–4; Psalm 37:1–9; 2 Timothy 1:1–14; and Luke 17:5–10. Communion will be served at both services.
Gather & Celebrate
Good Shepherd Men’s Group — Sundays at 6:30 pm in the Mattes Center. All men are welcome!
Burrito Breakfast — Sunday, October 5 between services in the Mattes Center. Enjoy breakfast burritos with all the fixings! Free-will offering.
Family Game Night — Friday, October 10, 6:00–9:00 pm in the Mattes Center. Board games, card games, and fun for all ages!
Bunco Night — Friday, October 17 at 6:00 pm in the Mattes Center. Bring a $5 wrapped “Halloween”-themed gift. Ages 18+.
Annual WELCA Holiday Marketplace — Saturday, November 15, 9:00 am–2:00 pm. Featuring 23 vendors and 35 tables, a pulled pork lunch for $7, and Norwegian lefse for sale!

Quilting for LWR — Monday, October 13, 9:00 am–3:00 pm in the quilting room. Come for all or part of the day!
Good Shepherd Women (WELCA) — Next gathering: Thursday, October 2 at 6:00 pm (Zoom or in person).
Lydia Circle — Tuesday, October 7, 1:00 pm in the Quilt Room. All women welcome for coffee and conversation!
Grief Support Group — Thursday, October 9, 3:00 pm. Meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday.
Cancer Support Group — Tuesday, October 21, 5:00 pm in the Mattes Center. For patients and caregivers.
Get Involved & Support
General Fund — Support Good Shepherd through in-person or online giving.
Food For Schools Project — Help stock local school food banks with donations. Make checks payable to the church with “Food For Schools” in the memo or give online.
LWR Kits: Support a Student, Share Hope! — Donate notebooks, pens, crayons, towels, soap, toothbrushes, and more. Lists are available at the Stewardship table. Monetary gifts are welcome.
Serve During Worship — Sign up to serve as a reader or usher at gslacrosse.org/participate or in the Welcome Area.
2025 Church Directories — Pick up your pre-purchased copy in the Welcome Area. Extras are available for $20.
Support Good Shepherd’s Youth Group — Purchase Scrip cards in the Welcome Area or from the church office.
Stay Connected
Sunday Fellowship — Coffee and conversation after worship in the Welcome Area.
Children & Sunday School — Children’s messages are part of the 8:30 am service before heading to Sunday School.
Nursery — Available during worship down the hall past the church offices.
Confirmation — Grades 6–8 meet Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
Membership — Orientation is held twice yearly. Contact the office for details.
Faith Resources — Books and other resources are available in the church library near the Birch Street entrance.
