If you or a loved one is facing a cancer diagnosis, you don’t have to go through it alone. Join us for the Cancer Support Group on Tuesday, August 19 from 5:00 to 6:00pm, a welcoming and understanding space to share, listen, and find strength together. Whether you’re in treatment, in remission, or walking alongside someone with cancer, this group offers emotional and spiritual support, encouragement, and community. Come as you are — all are welcome.

Join us for the Dementia Support Group on Tuesday, August 12th from 1:15 to 2:15pm, a safe and compassionate space for caregivers, family members, and friends to share experiences, ask questions, and receive emotional and spiritual support. Whether you’re new to caregiving or have been walking this journey for some time, you’re warmly welcome to connect with others who understand. Join Us for National Night Out!

National Night Out is a nationwide, annual event that strengthens the bond between law enforcement and the community while promoting neighborhood unity and safety. It’s a celebration of connection—bringing neighbors and public safety officials together in a fun, welcoming environment.

Each year, millions of people across all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military bases participate in National Night Out on the first Tuesday of August (with some areas in Texas celebrating in October). Communities host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and family-friendly activities that include safety demonstrations, youth games, emergency vehicle visits, and more.

This year, the City of La Crosse, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and the Hintgen Neighborhood Association invite everyone from the south side of La Crosse and nearby neighborhoods to join the celebration at Good Shepherd on Tuesday, August 5, from 5:00–7:00 PM.

All are welcome! Enjoy food, games, and a chance to meet your neighbors. Representatives from the La Crosse Police Department, Fire Department, and other community organizations will be there to connect and celebrate with you.
