Welcome to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church!

Here’s a roundup of all the latest news, events, and opportunities to connect and serve.

Worship

  • Summer Sunday Worship: One service at 9:30am (in person and live stream) through August 31.

  • Bunco Night: Friday, June 20 at 6pm in the Mattes Center. Bring a $5 wrapped gift; the theme is “4th of July.” For ages 18 and up. Contact Judy Christopherson at 788-4335 or 769-9656.

  • New Picture Directory: We still have appointments available on Thursday, June 19 (1–8:45pm) and Friday, June 20 (10:30am–6pm) for directory photos. To be included, call the church office at (608) 788-0450.

Get Involved and Support

  • General Fund: Support Good Shepherd’s ongoing ministry by making a donation online or in person.

  • Food For Schools Project: Your generosity helps stock area school food banks. Make checks payable to Good Shepherd with “Food For Schools Project” in the memo.

  • LuMin Campus Ministry: Support LuMin at UW-La Crosse. Give online at www.laxcg.org/giving. Send checks directly to Lutheran Campus Ministry or through Good Shepherd with “LuMin” in the memo.

  • Good Shepherd Trust Foundation: Funds are available for missions and organizations aligned with Good Shepherd’s mission and values. Submit applications by June 30.

Gather and Celebrate

  • Burrito Breakfast: Burrito Breakfast is taking a summer break and will return September 7.

  • Rummage Sale: Good Shepherd WELCA’s annual Rummage Sale will be Saturday, July 19 (9–2) in the Mattes Center. Table rental is $10 — you keep the profits from your sales. Hot beef lunch available for $7. Signup forms are in the church office. Set-up will be Friday from 12pm–5pm; Saturday from 8am–9am.

Small Groups and Support

  • Quilting: Meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, 9am–3pm in the Quilting Room. Drop in when you can. For instructions, check the LWR website or come help in person. June 23rd is the next meeting.

  • Cancer Support Group: Meets 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5pm in the Mattes Center. Safe, confidential place to connect with those affected by cancer. For more information, call Janette at 608-775-1197. Next meeting is June 17.

  • Lydia Circle: On break over summer; next meeting is September 2. Questions? Call LeeAnn Lyden at 608-788-7651.

  • Good Shepherd Women (WELCA): All women are invited to this group. Next meeting is Thursday, July 3 at 6pm in person and on Zoom.

  • Grief Support: Meets 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 3pm, September through May. For more information, please call the church office at 788-0450. All are welcome.

  • Game Night: For all ages — taking a break during the summer; will resume in September. Questions? Contact Randy at via email.

Job Opportunity
