Worship
Sunday, June 14 — Third Sunday after Pentecost: Worship takes place at 9:30am. Pr. Ralph Kuespert will be preaching. Music will be led by Randy Lyden, Karl Greenfield, and Dave Osley. Today's readings include Exodus 19:2-8a, Psalm 100, Romans 5:1-8, and Matthew 9:35--10:8. Communion will not be served this Sunday.
Next Sunday, June 21: Worship will begin at 9:30am and will include Communion and the Oakley Mills Baptism. Harald Bringsjord will be preaching.
Summer Worship Schedule: We offer a 9:30am Worship Service and Livestream. Communion is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, and all are welcome.
Gather & Celebrate
Bunco Night: Our next Bunco evening for adults is happening Friday, June 19th at 6:00pm in the Mattes Center. Bring a $5 wrapped gift with a "4th of July" theme and join us for laughter, games, and great company. This event is open to ages 18 and up.
Burrito Breakfast: Our breakfast crew is taking a well-deserved summer break. We will start back up on Rally Day, September 13, and then return to our normal schedule on the first Sunday of each month.
Good Shepherd Game Night: Game Night will not be happening during June, July, or August, but will resume on September 11th.
Vacation Bible School 2026 (The Wild West): VBS is happening August 2nd-6th for all children ages 4 years old through 5th grade. The event runs from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each evening, with a free-will offering supper from 5:15-5:45. Please register on our website by June 30.
Church Rummage Sale: The Church Rummage Sale will be held on July 18, from 9-2. Come and shop at over 13 families' sales all in one place. Lunch is available, and proceeds contribute to WELCA.
Small Groups & Support
Good Shepherd Men’s Group: Our men's group meets Sundays at 6:30pm in the Mattes Center.
Cancer Support Group: The Cancer Support Group offers adult cancer patients and their caregivers a safe, confidential space. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:00pm in the Mattes Center. Our next gathering will be on June 16th.
Lydia Circle: Lydia Circle will not meet during June, July, or August, but will resume on September 1st.
Good Shepherd Women (WELCA): We invite you to join us at our next meeting on Thursday, July 2nd at 6pm, either on Zoom or in person in the Quilting Room. If you are interested in the Zoom link please call the office at (608) 788-0450.
Get Involved & Support
Quilting for LWR: We meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 9:00am to 3:00pm in the quilting room. We hope to see you on Monday, June 22nd.
Church Council: The Church Council will meet on Tuesday, June 16 at 7:00pm.
Food For Schools Project: This month's featured fund helps stock area school food banks. To contribute, please make checks payable to the church and include "Food for Schools Project" in the memo line.
2026-2027 Sunday School Registration: Sunday School begins on September 13, 2026, and will continue through the middle of May 2027. Please register online or reach out to Brea Ellison, Director of Children's Ministry, at breanna@gslacrosse.org.
Media Team Members Needed: We need a few people to help with our Sunday services by running the PowerPoint at 8:30 and 10:30, and/or running the cameras at the 8:30 service. No experience is needed. Please contact Rick if you are interested at Rick@gslacrosse.org or 608-788-0450.
Other Announcements
Sunday Fellowship: Join us for coffee and fellowship in the welcome area following worship.
Office Hours: Office hours are 8:00am - 1:00pm Monday-Friday.
Scrip Cards: Support Good Shepherd's Youth Group by visiting the Scrip card table in the welcome area, or picking up an order form online or in the office. Kwik Trip cards are always available for immediate purchase in the church office, Monday-Friday, 8am to 1pm.
Church Library: Our Church Librarian, Ann Keuper, has done an excellent job of reorganizing our church library. It is located just past the Birch St. entrance on the left as you head towards the Mattes Center.
