The Season of Lent: Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18, with a service at 6:30 p.m.. Throughout the season, the church will hold Wednesday evening Holden Evening Prayer services featuring personal faith reflections from members.
2025 Annual Meeting: Scheduled for Sunday, February 8 at noon, this meeting allows members to celebrate 2025 highlights, elect new council members, and vote on the 2026 budget.
Youth & Sunday School Updates:
Milestones: 2nd graders will receive prayer pillows on February 15, and 4th graders will receive prayer journals on March 1.
Easter Egg-stravaganza: A save-the-date for Palm Sunday, March 29, featuring an egg hunt and crafts.
Confirmation: The final regular class is February 11, with students encouraged to attend Lenten services thereafter.
Music Ministry: This issue features the history of the hymn "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" by Thomas A. Dorsey and offers information on joining the church's various choirs and ensembles.
Health Awareness: In honor of Heart Health Month, parish nurses provide tips on preventing heart disease and recognizing symptoms of heart attacks and failure.
Community Events: Information on a "Lutefisk & Meatball Dinner" in Westby on February 7, as well as local "Game Night" (Feb 13) and "Bunco Night" (Feb 20).
Outreach Opportunities: Ways to support Mobile Meals, the WAFER food pantry, and the Food for Schools Project.
Financial Insights: A detailed breakdown of December 2025 attendance, envelope offerings, and benevolence giving.
