Quilting for a Cause: A Ministry of Warmth and Love

At Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, our Quilting for Lutheran World Relief (LWR) group is more than just a gathering of talented hands—it’s a ministry that brings warmth, comfort, and love to communities in need around the world.

The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., creating quilts that provide both practical support and a tangible expression of care. Every stitch tells a story of faith, generosity, and compassion, and every quilt represents a message of hope delivered across the globe.

Participation is open to everyone, whether you’re an experienced quilter or just learning. You can join the group in person or contribute from home by sewing quilt pieces that are later assembled into finished quilts. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.

If you’re looking for a hands-on way to serve, connect with others, and spread warmth to those in need, Quilting for LWR is the perfect opportunity.
