Bringing Joy to Local Children this Christmas Season

As the holiday season approaches, it’s easy to get caught up in the rush of gift lists, gatherings, and winter traditions. But amidst the twinkling lights and festive cheer, it’s also a time to remember the true spirit of Christmas — giving, kindness, and community.

This year, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is once again partnering with the La Crosse Jaycees to collect toys for the annual Toys for Tots drive, helping to bring smiles to children in need across La Crosse County. With more than 1,200 local children depending on this program, every donation makes a meaningful difference.

The process is simple yet powerful. Bring a new, unwrapped toy and place it in the Toys for Tots collection barrel located in the Welcome Area at Good Shepherd. Not sure what to give? The donation barrel will be picked up on December 5, so there’s still time to take part in this wonderful community tradition. From dolls and board games to building sets and books, every toy counts — and every act of generosity spreads the warmth of the season just a little further.
