FaithWebs Reunion on Sept. 20th!
Hello Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer enjoying the weather and making memories. I can hardly believe summer is already coming to an end. I also apologize for sharing this date on such short notice. Time certainly got the best of me this summer!
As we wrap up this year of Faith Webs, I am excited to invite you to a Faith Webs Reunion so we can reconnect and hear about everyone's camp experiences. The reunion will take place on Sunday, September 20, immediately following the second service in the Mattes Center.
This will be a relaxed gathering with minimal structure, allowing Faith Webs groups to reconnect individually and giving us an opportunity to connect as a larger group. I would love campers to share a favorite camp memory during our time together. I know some families and campers were unable to attend camp as originally planned, but campers, families, and sponsors are all welcome to join us regardless.
Optional: Since good conversation pairs well with good food, everyone is encouraged to bring a favorite snack, whether homemade or store-bought, to share! I have created a sign-up sheet where you can indicate what you plan to bring. I am not great with google docs so if you are unable to use it, please let me know! In church on that day, I would love to share some of the wonderful experiences Faith Webs participants have had throughout the year with the congregation. We are doing great things with Faith Webs and I would like to see that shared with the congregation. For that, I need your help with two things:
Pictures: I would like to put together a slideshow to share with the congregation. If each camper could send me a few photos from camp, I would greatly appreciate it! Please email or text them to me at 608-385-7394. If you happen to have any pictures from faith webs events, that would be great too.
Speakers: I would love for the congregation to hear directly from Faith Webs participants about their experiences as this is much more impactful than me speaking all the time. I am looking for a camper and a sponsor who would be willing to share how camp and/or Faith Webs has impacted their lives. 1-2 minutes is all this needs to be and it does not need to be formal. I know that speaking in front of the church can feel intimidating, especially for the youth so if they prefer to record a video, we can do that instead as long as I can get it ahead of time.
If you are willing to speak, please let me know ASAP. Also reach out with any questions between now and September 20th! I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion and celebrating all that we have created together.
