Lydia Circle: Tuesday, November 3, at 1:00 pm in the Choir Room. All women are welcome for coffee, friendly conversation, and delicious desserts.
Adult Reading Group: Wednesday, November 4, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Discussion on Prayer in the Night by Tish Harrison Warren. Contact the church office for more information.
Good Shepherd Women - WELCA: Thursday, November 5, at 6:00 pm in the Quilting Room or via Zoom (contact the office at 608-788-0450 for the link).
Fall Clean Up Day / God’s Work, Our Hands: Saturday, November 7, from 8:00 am until noon. Help clean up the church grounds for winter, with indoor cleaning jobs for those who’d rather not brave the cold.
Family Game Night: Friday, November 13, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the Mattes Center. A mix of board games, card games, and more for everyone to enjoy.
Celebrating 13 Years of Ministry with Pastor Harald: Sunday, November 15, at 9:30 am joint worship service celebrating Pastor Harald’s retirement, followed by a celebration honoring his years of service.
Bunco Night: Friday, November 20, at 6:00 pm in the Mattes Center. Open to ages 18 and up. Bring a $5 wrapped “Thanksgiving” themed gift.
Thanksgiving Eve Worship & Pie Social: Wednesday, November 25, at 6:30 pm. A service of reflection and gratitude, followed by pie provided by Church Council. This service will not be livestreamed.
Support Groups
Cancer Support Group: Third Tuesday of the month. Next meeting: November 17 at 5:00 pm in the Mattes Center. Offers adult cancer patients and their caregivers a safe, confidential space to share feelings and experiences.
Women’s Ministries & Marketplace
LWR Quilting: 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the quilting room. Next meeting: Monday, October 26. Prefer to sew at home? Quilt guidelines are at gslacrosse.org/quilters.
WELCA Marketplace Helpers Needed:
Lefse Donors: Sourcing good sized rounds of homemade lefse for the November 14 sale.
Holiday Treat Bakers: Cookies or any other Christmas specialties needed dropped off by noon on Friday, November 13.
Service & Volunteer Opportunities
Drivers Needed: Volunteers needed with a little extra room in their vehicle to provide rides to church for members who lack transportation. Sign up in the back of church or use the QR code attached in the worship bulletin.
Financial Stewardship: Support the General Fund, which covers all operating expenses and church activities, or this month’s featured fund, the Food For Schools Project, which helps stock area school food banks.
New Member Orientation: Held twice a year. Contact the church office for details.
