Worship

• This Sunday (November 23) — Christ the King Sunday. We worship with readings from Jeremiah 23:1–6, Psalm 46, Colossians 1:11–20, and Luke 23:33–43. Preaching: Pastor Harald Bringsjord. Music: Randy Lyden, Karl Greenfield, Dave Osley. Communion will not be served at either service.

• Next Sunday (November 30) — First Sunday of Advent. We worship with readings from Isaiah 2:1–5, Psalm 122, Romans 13:11–14, and Matthew 24:36–44. Preaching: Pastor Harald Bringsjord. Music: Randy Lyden, Karl Greenfield, Dave Osley. Communion will be served at both services. Note: Jovie Mae Oliver Baptism at 8:30 am.

Gather & Celebrate

• Thanksgiving Eve Worship & Pie Social — Wednesday, November 26, 6:30 pm — A service of gratitude and reflection, followed by pie served by Church Council. Not livestreamed.

• Tree Trimming & Decorating Night — Friday, November 28, 5:30 pm — Share a meal, then help decorate the sanctuary and welcome area for the Christmas season.

• Advent Luncheon — Saturday, November 29, 11:00 am — Note: event not at Good Shepherd.

• Family Game Night — Friday, December 12, 6:00–9:00 pm, Mattes Center — An all‑ages evening of games and fellowship.

• Bunco Night — Friday, December 19, 6:00 pm, Mattes Center — Adults 18+. Bring a wrapped $5 “Thanksgiving”‑themed gift and enjoy a fun evening together.

• Christmas Worship — Candlelight Christmas Eve on December 24 at 4:00, 6:00, and 9:00 pm. Christmas Day Worship on December 25 at 10:00 am. The 4:00 pm Christmas Eve service will be livestreamed.

Small Groups & Support

• Cancer Support Group — Tuesday, December 16, 5:00 pm, Mattes Center — A supportive space for adult cancer patients and caregivers.

• Good Shepherd Men’s Group — Sundays, 6:30 pm, Mattes Center — Conversation, reflection, and fellowship. Just show up.

• Lydia Circle — Tuesday, December 2, 12:00 pm, Quilt Room — Potluck lunch with coffee, dessert, and conversation. All women welcome.

• Good Shepherd Women (WELCA) — Thursday, December 4, 6:00 pm, Welcome Area or via Zoom — To receive the Zoom link, call the office at (608) 788‑0450.

• Grief Support Group — Thursday, December 11, 3:00 pm — Monthly gathering offering care and comfort.

Get Involved & Support

• Good Shepherd Caring Tree — Choose a tag for a local nursing home resident and return a wrapped gift with the tag to the church by December 12.

• Toys for Tots — Donate a new toy to the barrel in the Welcome Area to brighten Christmas for over 1,200 children in La Crosse County. Scan the QR code above the barrel for the Amazon wish list. Pickup is December 5.

• Food for Schools Project — Help stock local school food banks. Write “Food for Schools Project” in the memo line of your check or give online.

• General Fund — Support Good Shepherd’s mission and ministry through in‑person giving or online at gslacrosse.org.
