Worship
Sunday, May 24 — Day of Pentecost — Today we celebrate with readings from Ezekiel 37:1-14 , Psalm 104:24-34 , Acts 2:1-21 , and John 7:37-39a. Harald Bringsjord will preach , with music led by Randy Lyden, Karl Greenfield, and Dave Osley. Communion will not be served today. Worship is held at 8:30am (livestreamed) and 10:30am. Sunday School meets at 8:30am.
Sunday, May 31 — Next Sunday — Next Sunday is Faith Webs Sending Sunday , and we will worship with readings from Genesis 1:1--2:4a , Psalm 8 , 2 Corinthians 13:11-13 , and Matthew 28:16-20. Harald Bringsjord will preach , with music led by Randy Lyden, Karl Greenfield, and Dave Osley. Communion will not be served next Sunday. Note that the summer schedule begins this day, so there is only one worship service at 9:30am. Faith Webs Yard Games follow at 10:30am.
Summer Worship Time Change — Beginning Sunday, May 31, our worship times will switch to our summer schedule with one worship service at 9:30am. Communion will still be served on the first and third Sundays of the month.
Gather & Celebrate
Bunco Night — Adults 18+ are invited Friday, June 19th at 6:00pm in the Mattes Center. Bring a $5 wrapped gift with a "4th of July" theme for laughter, games, and great company.
Burrito Breakfast — Our breakfast crew is taking a well-deserved summer break. The breakfast will start back up on Rally Day, September 13, and then return to its normal schedule on the first Sunday of each month.
Good Shepherd Game Night — Game Night is on a summer break for June, July, and August, but will resume on September 11th.
Vacation Bible School 2026 (The Wild West) — VBS is happening August 2nd–6th from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each evening for children ages 4 years old through 5th grade. A free-will offering supper is available from 5:15–5:45 p.m. Please register online by June 30.
Small Groups & Support
Good Shepherd Men’s Group — Meets Sundays at 6:30pm.
Cancer Support Group — Offers a safe, confidential space for adult cancer patients and caregivers on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:00pm in the Mattes Center; the next gathering is June 16th.
Lydia Circle — Will not meet during June, July, or August, but will resume on September 1st.
Good Shepherd Women (WELCA) — The next meeting is Thursday, June 4th at 6:00pm, available in person in the Quilting Room or via Zoom. Call the office at (608) 788-0450 for the Zoom link.
New Adult Reading Group — A new book club is starting for adults to connect and explore faith-based stories. Contact Sue at office@gslacrosse.org to share your reading interests and join.
Get Involved & Support
Good Shepherd Spring Cleanup — Join us Saturday morning on May 30th at 8:00am to help clean up the church and grounds (dusting, cleaning windows, sweeping parking lots, and cleaning up rock gardens).
Quilting for LWR — Meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 9:00am to 3:00pm in the quilting room. The next meeting will be Monday, June 8th (as the church office and building are closed on Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day).
Socks and Underwear Needed! — Next Sunday, May 31, we will be collecting donations of new socks and underwear for the Synod Assembly. Please place donations in the shopping cart in the welcome area by June 7 at 10:00am.
Food For Schools Project — This month’s featured fund helps stock area school food banks. To contribute, scan the designated QR code in the bulletin or make checks payable to the church with "Food for Schools Project" in the memo line.
Sunday School Registration (2026-2027) — Sunday School begins September 13, 2026, and runs during the 8:30 AM worship service. Register online or contact Brea Ellison at breanna@gslacrosse.org.

Sunday Fellowship — Join us for coffee and fellowship in the welcome area following worship.
Office Hours — The church office is open 8:00am – 1:00pm, Monday through Friday. Note: Closed Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day.
Scrip Cards — Support the Youth Group by purchasing Kwik Trip cards directly in the church office (Monday–Friday, 8am–1pm), or by visiting the Scrip card table in the welcome area.
Church Library — Resources have been excellently reorganized by our church librarian, Ann Keuper, and are available just past the Birch St. entrance on the left as you head towards the Mattes Center.
