At the time of loss
This church shares in the pain of those who mourn the loss of a loved one. We offer funeral and memorial services to families during their time of grief. Our funeral and memorial services speak with honesty to the reality and the pain of death and at the same time celebrate the living hope we have through the resurrection of Jesus Christ which is the core of our faith. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” Revelation 21:4
Many people discuss with the pastor ahead of time their wishes for their funeral, such as hymns and scripture readings and even make faith statements that they would like to have used at their funeral. This can be meaningful to those who remain. You may contact the pastor about this at any time.
The marble Columbariums of Good Shepherd are a faithful place to have the ashed of departed loved ones rest in peace. They are nestled into Good Shepherd’s beautiful prayer gardens. Niches are available for purchase by members and nonmembers of Good Shepherd. Contact the church office for more information.
